Mariah Brown-Pounds is my friend and neighbor in Alger and is working on a project called "Circles." This project is exciting to me because it builds community resilience by giving tools and support to people with individual determination so they may break the cycle of poverty.
On a personal level, Mariah is the daughter of Wendy Brown of Namaste Garden and has started raising bees for honey (which have increased pollination in my own garden!).
I am excited that Community Action has gained such a wonderful resource as Mariah.
