Silver and Bear Creek Steelhead Count for April 23rd and 30th...Brady is done counting for the season

My summary for the Silver & Bear Creeks Steelhead Surveys for last Thursday, April 23, 2015.  I plan to conduct surveys again this coming Thursday, April 30th. If I get 0 live and 0 dead STHD counts again, then the 30th will be my last STHD survey of the season. 
 
Steelhead Surveys on April 23 2015
 
Silver Creek
Flow Conditions: low & clear
 
0 Live Steelhead,  0 Steelhead Redds 
* 1 false redd 
* Many schools of coho juveniles (3-4 inches) in pools and side areas
 
Water Temperatures:
Silver Cr. @ Hwy 99 Bridge = 50.0 F (@10:19am); (Air Temp. 49.8 F @ 10:17am)
Silver Cr. at upper end of Index = 50.4 F (@ 11:14am)
Silver Cr. immediately upstream from Friday Cr. confluence = 50.3 F (@12:01pm)
Friday Cr. immediately above Silver Cr. confluence = 52.1 F (@ 12:00pm)
 
 
Bear Creek
Flow Conditions: Low & clear
 
0 Live Steelhead, 0 Steelhead Redds
9 cutthroat trout redds (+ 8 more CTT redds upstream in South Fork Bear Creek!!)
 
* Still many fresh brook lamprey redds at pool tail-outs; a few live lamprey still building redds
* Many schools of coho juveniles in pools & side areas
* South Fork Bear Creek - 8 new cutthroat trout redds.
 
Water Temperatures:
Bear Cr. @ Lake Samish Rd. Bridge = 48.1 F (@12:37pm) (Air Temp. = 46.5 F @ 12:35pm)
Friday Creek immediately upstream from Bear Cr. confluence = 53.5 F (1:02 pm)
SF Bear Cr. = 47.9 F (@1:45pm)
NF Bear Cr. = 49.2 F (@2:02pm)

* coho juveniles (~4 inches) in pools and side areas spreading out more now
No new CTT redds
 
Water Temperatures:
Silver Cr. @ Hwy 99 Bridge =51.9 F (@11:15am); (Air Temp. 53.0 F @ 11:12am)
Silver Cr. at upper end of Index = 52.7 F (@ 12:20am)
Silver Cr. immediately upstream from Friday Cr. confluence = 53.4 F (@1:06pm)
Friday Cr. immediately above Silver Cr. confluence = 53.9 F (@ 1:02pm)
 
 
Bear Creek
Flow Conditions: Low & clear
 
0 Live Steelhead, 0 Steelhead Redds
 
No new cutthroat trout redds.
* New brook lamprey redds at pool tail-outs; saw live brook lampreys still building redds!
* schools of coho juveniles in pools & side areas; spreading out more
 
 
Water Temperatures:
Bear Cr. @ Lake Samish Rd. Bridge = 50.6 F (@1:40pm) (Air Temp. = 55.9 F @ 1:30pm)
Friday Creek immediately upstream from Bear Cr. confluence = 57.9 F (2:10 pm)
SF Bear Cr. = 50.3 F (@2:58 pm)
NF Bear Cr. = 52.1 F (@3:00pm)
