Fighting For Grandparent's Rights

Cindy Curry of the Belfast Feed Store cares deeply for her granddaughter who she helped raise since newly born.  Because of this she has begun fighting for grandparent's rights in Washington State.

G.R.O.W.S. (Grandparents Rights Organization of Washington State) is a determined assemblage of loving grandparents who seek visitation with a grandchild or grandchildren when one or both parents have unreasonably and without cause severed the relationship with the child.

As a group we are resolute in our efforts to assist our state legislators in creating and passing a law that will reunite the broken bond of grandchild with grandparent.

We will accomplish this through a continuing relationship with our state legislators, legal services, affiliated groups, and untold numbers of grandparents in Washington State.  To learn more go to http://www.grandparentsrightsofwashingtonstate.org/

G.R.O.W.S. has recently submitted a bill for 2013, #HB1506 for Third Party Visitation.  For those of you who agree with this bill please write our State Senators and Representatives.  You can contact Cindy through email: belfastfeedstore@hotmail.com or by phone: 360-724-3075.  She will be driving down to the next gathering of G.R.O.W.S. in Fife if you want to carpool.  This is not only about taking action but also about seeking mutual support on topic that is held very close to the heart.
