Shared Mary Beth of Transition Fidalgo's desire to cross pollinate information
Make a permanent link to their newsletter on ours.  (Their newsletter is  a combo of news/science pieces and celebration of good news.)  Could they send a title that is a link?  Yes.
Should we just share events?  Yes.
Group consensus indicates we post their events and make a link for people to subscribe to it on their own.

Make March Newsletter about Food/Just Eat It
"Food Shed"
Contrast of food distribution and a relocalized local food shed-- direct source from farmer to consumer, garden and woods to consumer-this needs to be recreated

Just Eat It:  March 24th
Christopher shared about the local food store throwing away food after power outage and if there is a way to share such info.  Sarai has contact w/ a woman that is working on such projects.

Jill asked if anyone wanted to watch movie beforehand.
Discussion led to the ugly fruit movement.
Grocery stores used to sell ugly produce for cheaper.  Grocery outlet does such things w/ canned products.  Public market in B'ham does it as well; owner might be a good interview.

Chuck volunteered to make popcorn.  Movie people might already be doing so.
Jill made green tomato chutney, will bring to Lighting the Dark.  Could use as a promo for Just Eat it

Last minute details regarding Lighting the Dark?

Time to set up:  4:00
SWAP at 5
Poetry at 5:45
Potluck at 6
Bug Talk at 7
Burn at 8:15

Chuck hasn't gotten ahold of Sue, but he plans to give her 20 minutes, he goes 35 min.  Do we want q/a?  He could do his thing, q/a, then Sue goes on and he has time to set up burn.

Sarai wants to bring the poster from John, her light sculpture, and some masks.

Christopher will bring instruments.  "We've got rhythm in our bones."
He will also bring a screen for projector.

SWAP set up on benches around hall.

Advertise date of Garden Tour, looking for homes?
Jill suggested we create an overarching year long plan for what we want to host and accomplish. She suggested having a special meeting to do this.  Do we need a separate meeting? No.

SCEA Fundrun - February 27: Just say no to table.

Garden Tour - when do we schedule 1st organizing meeting
First week of March?  Sarai will email Sue

Recapping the idea of CT rules of order:
Leader will volunteer, have bird.
Read agenda to group.
Stick to agenda.
Review at end.

Jill asks if we need to have  a meeting to evaluate the group's identity and mission? - this will be tabled until next winter.
Great conversation.  Sarai suggest having the meeting next winter.  Christopher observed that we have lists of what we do and did; we can evaluate.  Annette pointed out that we are connecting people from all walks of life and gathering people together.
Review of what the group has done over the years.  Some things have been brought up and not done.  Other activities like the BLM are initiated and successful.
Our energy to advertise and facilitate often depends on the actual people here at the table.
Jill will read the transition handbook.

Chris brought up the decision making process and how opinions are shared until consensus is achieved.

Christopher talked with Jill about possibly having jam sessions after our meetings.
Put it on a different calendar.  Jams rule and will happen.  One note to rule them all.

Christopher updated us on the Whatcom Swap Trade at the Majestic.

Annette is getting a door on her greenhouse.

Sarai will email Finney Farm to tell them about this Friday's Swap.

The end the end.
