Think you can’t do anything to protect the beautiful marine waters in our community? Think again! Join us for a FREE workshop and learn how local residents can get involved and do their part to clean up, protect, and conserve the health of our waters. Discussion topics will include ideas for managing water on your property, including “bay friendly” gardening techniques, an introduction to Low Impact Development (LID), Rain Gardens, water harvesting technologies, and more! The event is scheduled for Saturday, February 21st from 9 am to 2:30 pm and will be held at the Padilla Bay Research Reserve. Bring a lunch and we will provide drinks and refreshments. The event is being hosted by Skagit County, Skagit Conservation District, Shore Stewards, and WSU Extension/Skagit County. Pre-register by Thursday, Feb. 19th by contacting Catherine Buchalski at: firstname.lastname@example.org or call: (360) 428-1559.
