Planning Commission seeks public input on Comprehensive Plan’s Rural Element - Tuesday, May 19th

All,
Please share the information attached with those who would like to know.

The county has set up a public meeting on the Rural Element portion of the Comp Plan as a part of the 2016 revisions.  Some of us attended the last public hearing on the matter as a last gasp to for changes to the gun shop zoning.  If I recall this was shortly after learning of the state RCW's forbidding the disallowment of gun shops in areas of comparable retail zoning.  And shortly before my energy on the matter fizzled out.

Regardless, for those of you who would still like to share your perspective, this is the venue.  I am presenting for the Edison Sewer Board at the Edison Town Meeting that night and will be unable to attend.

I hope that our beautiful Spring finds you well and happy.

Best,
Scott

Scott,

Given your comments on rural permitting issues during the Board of County Commissioners’ 2016 Update scoping hearing last fall, I thought you and possibly others from the Edison area might be interested in the upcoming Planning Commission workshop on the Rural Element of the Comprehensive Plan, coming up next Tuesday evening.

Let me know if you have any questions. (By the way, great bread! Do you ever do baking clinics?)

Sincerely,
Kirk Johnson, AICP
