The Hunger to Hope foodservice apprentice training program at the Friendship House is now accepting applications for our next training session which runs from Tuesday, May 19 through Friday, August 7, 2015.

Applications may be picked-up at the Friendship House Café, 108 Snoqualmie, Mount Vernon or be downloaded from www.skagitfriendshiphouse.org.

Foodservice and culinary training is offered for 12-weeks, meeting each week Tuesday through Friday from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Friendship House Café. Apprentices receive hands-on kitchen and foodservice training along with obtaining their Skagit County Food-handlers card, blood-borne pathogen training, and completing the requirements for their CPR / AED / First Aid card.

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, capable of doing kitchen work and demonstrating a desire to succeed in the foodservice industry. Applicants are not required to be residents or guests of the Friendship House.

There is no cost for this apprenticeship opportunity. Space is very limited so early registration is encouraged.
