I'm signed up to go to this Dragonfly class July 31-August 2 and it still has room in it! I really want it to be a go and they need one more person to sign up by this Monday, July 27th at noon or it may be cancelled so I'm helping to get the word out! Dennis Paulson is "the" expert on dragonflies in the Pacific Northwest. North Cascades Institute is a great facility in a beautiful setting in North Cascades National Park and serves wonderful food locally sourced from farms in the Skagit and Methow valleys. Please consider going or forward this to friends/colleagues.
Learn about the dragonflies and damselflies that visit where you live or work! These beautiful beauties are all around us with fascinating life histories. NCI offers good scholarships for teachers, educators, students. They are quick and easy to apply for. I got one and it took me just a few moments. If you are a teacher, this is offered for 18 clock hours.
Dennis Paulson is the recently-retired director of the Slater Museum of Natural History at the University of Puget Sound. He has taught university and adult classes about birds, dragonflies, ecology and evolution and authored over 70 scientific papers and half-dozen books, including Shorebirds of the Pacific Northwest and Dragonflies of Washington
